Python Programming

The Python Programming course is a 3-month, hands-on program that builds learners from the ground up — starting with core programming concepts and C fundamentals before diving deep into Python. Participants master Python syntax, data structures, and real-world application development, culminating in a final project, an internationally recognized Python Institute certification, and an internship for practical workplace experience.

Curriculum outline
  1. 1

    Introduction to Programming

Covers the fundamentals of programming — what programming is, the generations and evolution of programming languages, examples of popular languages, and an overview of programming paradigms (procedural, object-oriented, functional). Builds the conceptual foundation for everything that follows.

  2. 2

    Algorithms and Computational Complexity

Introduces algorithmic thinking — designing step-by-step solutions to problems, understanding sorting and searching algorithms, and analyzing efficiency through time and space complexity (Big O notation).

  3. 3

    Introduction to C Programming

Hands-on introduction to C, teaching core programming constructs (variables, loops, functions, pointers, memory management) that build discipline and a strong understanding of how code executes at a lower level — preparing learners for Python with solid fundamentals.

  4. 4

    Python Programming Fundamentals

Core Python syntax, data types, control structures, functions, and error handling — the essential building blocks for writing Python programs.

  5. 5

    Data Structures in Python

Working with lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets, and strings, plus an introduction to more advanced structures — key tools for organizing and manipulating data efficiently.

  6. 6

    Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Python

Understanding classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulation to build modular, reusable, and scalable Python code.

  7. 7

    File Handling & Exception Handling

Reading from and writing to files, and implementing robust error handling to build reliable, production-ready programs.

  8. 8

    Working with Modules & Libraries

Using Python's standard library and popular third-party packages (e.g., datetime, os, requests) to extend program functionality and avoid reinventing the wheel.

  9. 9

    Python for Automation & Scripting

Applying Python to automate repetitive tasks, write scripts for real-world problems, and interact with the operating system and files.

  10. 10

    Introduction to Databases with Python

Connecting Python programs to databases (e.g., SQLite/MySQL) to store, retrieve, and manage data — a critical skill for most real-world applications.

  11. 11

    Final Project

A capstone project where learners design and build a complete Python application from scratch, applying all skills learned to solve a real-world problem and demonstrating readiness for professional work.

  12. 12

    Certification Exam (Python Institute)

Focused review and exam preparation for an internationally recognized Python Institute certification, validating learners' skills to employers worldwide.

  13. 13

    Internship

Practical placement allowing learners to apply their Python skills in a real organizational setting, building workplace experience ahead of employment.
